Pre-owned Very Good Condition 2008 Rolex Submariner Date, Champagne Serti Dial with Diamond and Sapphire markers – Reference: 16613T.

FULL SET – Box and papers. ROLEX SERVICE IN OCTOBER 2016.

Normal signs of wear for a watch of this age. No damage (dents or dings). Unpolished.

The watch is supplied with its original Rolex box (inner and outer), manuals, green and red tags, original Rolex warranty card dated December 2008 and Rolex Service Centre Card dated October 2016. EU issued watch.

Production ended for the 16613 (replaced by the 116613) in 2009, so this December 2018 watch is a late production model and has the newer no-holes case and the ROLEXROLEXROLEX engraved rehaut.

The reference 16613 belongs to that series of Submariners considered by many devotees as “the last of the best”, retaining the more graceful profile of earlier models, before the brand rolled out their Supercase across much of the Professional Collection. While the thicker lugs and crown guards of the contemporary portfolio certainly add a deal more wrist presence, purists seem to prefer the sweeping lines of these earlier pieces.

Through the lifetime of the 16613, the luminescence was changed twice – firstly with Luminova replacing the former tritium in 1998 and then, just two years later, it swapped again to SuperLuminova. The Luminova pieces are marked simply ‘SWISS’ while Superluminova has ‘SWISS MADE’ – as seen on this watch.
